Claw Marks Theatre presents: Woyzeck. Adapted for Toronto in 2026 by Holger Syme, Georg Büchner’s infamous play returns to Toronto. Directed by Maggie Tavares, Woyzeck examines a man whose already unstable condition is exacerbated by the exploitation his boss and doctor put him through. Woyzeck becomes uncontrollably maddened by experiments, visions, and later, the allegation (and truth) that his long-time girlfriend and the mother of their child is cheating on him, to the point of killing her. Büchner’s tragedy takes on grimy underground rave and back-of-house hospital settings at Array Music’s Arrayspace October 1-5 (Sept.29 Preview) 2026. Bar and liquor sales onsite. 90 minutes, including one 20 minute intermission. Be prepared to dance and sweat.
